So its finally happened... 2006 came charging into the picture on its gallant steed, kicking the old and decrepit 2005 out the window of hesternal oblivion. Haha! Out! Out! You senile old fool!
Reflecting on days gone by, i try to recall my achievements in 2005... and this paltry list is all i could think of:
- I realised that i hated my ex-boss
- I got myself a Nintendo DS
- I met really interesting people, some i like a lot, some not too much.
- I had a car accident, making my Insurance NCB rate back to RM1000+
- I discovered Bangkok Jazz
- I forged closer frienships with my existing friends
- I had my hair
raped cut - I went to Genting Highlands, but do not want to talk about it... ever
- I bought my own laptop
- I quit my job
- I discovered that Toblerone comes in 3 different flavours, and they come from Switzerland
Anyway...
Went out for our annual New Year's outing yesterday. I must say that it was quite an enjoyable experience, meeting up with old friends who have been away or busy with their own lives.
Largest Monopoly Board in the World, officiated by Guinness Book of Records, in 1Utama
Had lunch in Jack's Place X, a cosy little restaurant on the 1st Floor of 1U New Wing. The ambience itself is quite comfy, but there's something about the decor inside that reeks of "cheapness". I had a personal dislike for the tablecloths in particular.. green and white checkerboard design.

Apparently the black star is looming over waiters everywhere this month... how hard is it just to hold the camera still and press a button? See.. see the gawd-awful tablecloths!

This be my meal: pan fried Dory fish with unknown sauce, garnished with pathetic boiled carrots, peas and underage potatoes. Hmm wonder is any international potato laws were broken? Will i get arrested for playing with juvenile potatoes? (>^^)>~<(^^<)

The Sirloin Steak, also served with unknown sauce and the usual lineup of pathetic vegetables.. (did i mention the ugly tablecloth yet?)

The most expensive meal in Jack's Place X, the Special Steak! But as you can see.. yes yes.. its the same thing, you just get and extra ingredient in the shape of cylindrical unidentified special vegetables. Wowee.. what a treat.. bleh.
At times like these, you realise that it isnt what you do with your time, or where you go to spend it. The most important thing is the company!
Heres to the new year and all the promise it brings. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
